Antique gilded frames that have seen better days and are damaged can be restored and re gilded to their former glory.

Ornate frames with missing parts or broken details can be re created by taking moulds and re casting. These replacements can be gilded and coloured to match the patina of the rest of the frame to keep the aged appearance.

Each frame will have to be assessed in person as to whether we are able to restore it. Photos can be sent initially and we can then determine whether we think it is feasible to repair. 

In the case of very large frames we can arrange to visit to assess on site, please call us to discuss details.

Very often the oil or watercolour in some of these damaged frames also requires attention. We can point you in the right direction and have 2 restorers that will be able to help in the cleaning and repair.
